POLICIES, PROCEDURES, & GUIDELINES:

  • Prior to participating, participants must review the SCGA’s Policies & Procedures.
  • The SCGA's mask policy follows in accordance with the CDC and the California Department of Public Health. This is subject to change due to any local guidelines or site protocols. Click here to learn more.

 

FORMAT:

  • All players will participate in an 18-hole, stroke-play championship
  • Awards will be given to those who finish in 1st through 5th place. In the event of a tie for first place only, there will be a hole-by-hole playoff following the conclusion of regular play.

 

REGISTRATION:

All players must check in at the SCGA registration table located in valet area at the front of the clubhouse. Registration will open at 6:45 a.m.

 

STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS: 

  • Starting holes and pairings will be e-mailed to players and posted online at scga.org one week in advance of the championship.
  • Start will be an 8 a.m. Shotgun
  • Players are to be at their carts by 7:45 a.m. for announcements. Scorecards and player information will be on their carts prior to the start of play.  

 

TEES & YARDAGE:   

  • All yardages and course information can be found in the “Yardage Information” tab located on the Championship Portal.
    • Men will play will from the GOLD tee markers: 6,838 yards / Course Rating: 73.7 / Slope Rating: 139 / Par 72.

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS:

  • Players may contact the golf shop at (949) 858-4100 following the close of entries to arrange a practice round.
  • Practice rounds will be available Tuesday - Thursday. Greens fees will be $100 with an additional $21 for cart fee. Players may elect to walk for their practice round.

 

DRIVING RANGE:

  • The driving range will be available by 7 a.m. the morning of the championship.  
  • Range balls will be provided compliments of Coto de Caza GC and the SCGA.

 

FOOD SERVICE & PURCHASES:

  • The snack bar will be open throughout the day.

 

RULES OF PLAY:

 

GOLF CARTS & PULL/PUSH CARTS:

  • Golf carts are included with the entry fee; however, players who are able and willing to walk may do so.
  • There will be a maximum of two carts per group and two bags per cart. Players wishing to ride will be expected to share a cart with another player.
  • Each player is entitled to one seat in a cart. If a player brings a caddie, the caddie may ride provided there is a vacant seat in one of the carts. Otherwise, either the player or the caddie must walk.
  • Drivers must be at least 16 years of age (or older if club policy dictates).
  • Pull or push carts are permitted.

 

CADDIES & SPECTATORS:

  • Players may provide their own caddie (see section on golf carts).
  • Spectators are permitted but are required to walk unless those with ADA disabilities. Spectators seeking to use a golf cart due to a medical or ADA-related reason must contact the SCGA in advance of the qualifier. Spectators must adhere to all policies set forth by the facility and cart fees apply.

 

DRESS CODE:

Appropriate golf attire must be worn, including adhering to any facility-specific policies.

 

CANCELATIONS & REFUNDS:

  • To withdraw for any reason prior to the start of a SCGA competition, a player must notify the SCGA Championships & Golf Operations Department at champs@scga.org.
  • Failure to notify the SCGA will subject the player to suspension from future SCGA competitions.
  • Refund Policy:
    • Cancelation prior to the entry closing date: Full refund less a $10 administrative fee.
    • Cancelation after the entry closing date and more than 48 hours prior to the start of the competition: 50% of the entry fee.
    • Cancelation within 48 hours of the start of the competition: No refund.
